From the series: 'Feet Journey'

Feet represent movement, connection with the Earth, sense of moving forward in life. They are as well an important point of balance for our body.

How’s the world seen by our feet?...
I started to sketch a lot imagining feet in different places and situations. The ones I’ll talk about here, are the ones I have painted so far, the rest is still in my sketching book…waiting to fly to a canvas! :o)

From left to right:

Color Dreams: (Acrylic on box canvas, 30,5 x 30,5cms/ 12 x 12 inches, 2006).
Like a dream where I stand on water and I can see fishes passing by. A happy and relaxed day!.

Dry and Hot: (Acrylic on box canvas, 30,5 x 30,5cms / 12 x 12 inches, 2006).
Tanned feet standing on sand...I imagined a girl in Brazil, walking along a beautiful beach on a Summer day.

Fresh: (Acrylic on canvas, 25,4 x 25,4 cms / 10 x 10 inches, 2004).
After playing with friends at the beach, a boy goes to swim, and as soon as his feet touch the water and realizes how cold it is...he starts shaking :o)

Civilization: (Acrylic on box canvas, 30,5 x 30,5cms/ 12 x 12 inches, 2006).
I was inspired by Buddha footprints that traditionally symbolizes
the physical presence of the Enlightened One.
(I'm not Buddhist, I'm simply a passionate about culture).
